green-wood cemetery

Happy Election Day! I hope you are all getting out there to the polls and casting your vote. I really don't care who you vote for (although I'm a little biased) just get out there and make your voice heard!

Remember when we were doing some city touring with Kurt's Ohio friend, Nathaniel? Well, we had a few hours to show him around Brooklyn on Sunday morning before he had to hit the road. We took him to the Green-Wood Cemetery right near Kurt's house to photograph the scenery.

On top of Battle Hill, a statue of Minerva looks directly to the Statue of Liberty. It's our favorite little history lesson to share with visitors.

After our jaunt through the cemetery, it was time for brunch at Giovanni Brooklyn Eats. A bottomless mimosa is the perfect way to start your Sunday, or so I say :)

  1. I did a tour of Greenwood last year around Halloween - it was awesome! It's so beautiful there :)
