Continuing the festivites, I recently attending Architecture for Humanity New York's Holiday Party held at the Arhaus Showroom in the Meatpacking District.
The showroom was a bit more traditional than our normal party venues but it was cozy to get lost in all the tufting and fabrics. The space was enormous but was also filled with tons of stuff. I (gasp) actually talked to some new volunteers and directors and learned all about current projects (and the need for new projects). The staff at Arhaus couldn't have been nicer. After AFHny raffled off several books as prizes, the store manager decided to donate three $100 gift certificates to the store! And two of my guy friends won! They were very confused as to what to put their gift certificate towards but hopefully they will get their mothers something nice for Christmas.
{A holiday party would not be complete without Jenn's sparkly shoe kick, so here it is.}
Thanks AFHny for another fun party! I vow to maybe start volunteering in the new year instead of just attending your happy hours and drinking your free booze. Maybe.
Wish I could've been there to brag about my grant-winning project...
